Disobedient Tunes at White Columns, Friday, July 10th, presented on the occasion of West Side Fest 2026.


Disobedient Tunes is a project Inspired by a previous archived mix of mine from Feb 2022. The project functions as a long-form mix composed of tracks self-produced that explore vocal samples mainly derived from Calypso and Soca music—genres that originated in Trinidad and Tobago, but at large exploring Caribbean samples across the diaspora. These vocal samples are juxtaposed with production styles and elements from other genres, such as Alternative, Left-field House, Trance, Club, and New Age Rap, reimagining Caribbean music’s euphoric effects through a new sonic lens.
